It's finally finished!!!

The quilt is done. I thought I would never finish. Piecing it was hard enough, but when I was sick a few weeks ago, I decided to hand quilt like a mad woman. And I did. It lived on our couch while I was in the midst of quilting and every spare second I'd work on it even if it was a little. Phew. I'm so glad it's done. I planned the quilt and bought the fabric before we moved into our house, but it's all worth it to hear Dabney say "I wove my qweelt".

David's Room v2.0

Isn't it funny how sometimes you see ballerina fairies in pictures when you aren't expecting them?

Well, I'm nesting again. You can tell because I'm re-arranging furniture again. Actually, since we moved in (May '05) David's room had never been 'decorated'. We just sort of stuck the furniture in where ever it fit. So, this week, after doing Dabney's room, we gave David's room a facelift. I think it make the room a whole lot brighter and spacious. I bought the canvas art at T.J.Maxx/ Homegoods. I love that store and I'm waiting until I find more cheap ones to cover the rest of the walls.

Dabney was reading to Davey this morning in front of the bookcase. I think that is why his vocabulary is skyrocketing. Today he said "Thank You" and he also says "Dabney"(not easy without teeth!), "Hi", and of course "Mama" and "Daddy". And he can blow kisses- complete with kissing sounds! He's a genius!

Alright, Rebecca

Here's one of my favorites. Thanks for suggesting the idea, but sorry I'm a little late.

It's a bird, it's a plane, no! It's...

TINKERBELLE! (Maybe Stinkerbelle would be more accurate...)

Dabney's Buddy Sarah

Have you noticed that since her birthday, Dabney hasn't taken her ballerina outfit off very much?

David's Peek-a-Boo face

Dabney calls this "Swimming with the mermaids"

Actually, she's just up in Mommy and Daddy's bathtub, but she loves it when she uses her imagination.

Yesterday she took a tumble while rounding a corner in the living room and came to see me in the kitchen (for sympathy) and said that she just "fell in love".

Isn't he the sweetest thing ever?

Tuckered out

I love this picture! This is what I found after I came home from my last OB appointment. David was sad when I left but he loves Rachel and the Brottlunds did a great job with him. (And yes, he's sleeping.)

Happy Valentine's Day

Well, here I am surrounded by own little valentines, and there's no place else I'd rather be. I'm 16.5 weeks along now and today is a good day (i.e. I feel pretty motivated). I felt terrible last weekend- my stomach just ached and ached. An online friend, who's also pregnant, suggested that it's muscles just stretching and that makes a lot of sense, though I don't remember this with the other two kids.
Since I'm motivated, I'm cooking today although we're probably going to go to dinner tonight. I'm making 2 dinners for the freezer, to pull out on the days when I'm not so motivated. Also, Pride & Prejudice is running in the background since it's Valentine's Day. Kind of like Riverdance and soda bread on St. Patty's. I'm going to post a few pictures if I can while my onions are sweating, sorry if the pictures are kind of random.
Also, you may welcome me to the 21st century- I am now in the possession of a cell phone! And if sopmeone could direct me towards some cool free ringtones, I'd be most grateful! Also, I downloaded some very cool software from Google yesterday including a very cool desktop that runs through all of the thousands of pictures from my "My Pictures" folder. Very cool. And I would be remiss if I didn't say a public Thank You to my Sweetheart for helping me get all the server information for Thunderbird last night, although he didn't feel well. *Muah*
